Requirements

  • Domestic Violence Experience
  • Valid Driver’s license/acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Domestic violence Intervention (DVIP) training preferred
  • Group facilitation skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting participant intake and exit interviews, assessing suitability for group participation, and coordinating with advocates, probation officers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  • Plans and coordinates weekly group sessions.
  • Attends multidisciplinary team and probation meetings.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the agency's electronic health record system, including attendance, progress notes, intakes, and discharges.
  • Facilitates both daytime and evening group sessions, with evening programming extending until 8:30 p.m.
  • Co-facilitate the Choosing Non-Violence Group for Men.
  • Assist in developing group topics.
  • Complete required documentation in timely manner.
  • Maintain good working relationship with local probation departments.
  • Provide referrals as needed.
  • Maintain required records.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
  • Maintains regular, prompt attendance at the office on a consistent and reliable basis.
  • Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
  • Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Performs other program related duties as assigned.
