About The Position

Gray Ridge Eggs Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Journeyperson/Millwright (Weekends) for our Strathroy Grading facility. The Weekend Journeyperson/Millwright is responsible to maintain all machines to ensure that they are in good, safe working order for continuous production. Hours of Work: Two twelve-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with an additional 4 hours on Monday or Friday. Paid for 40 hours.

Requirements

Must possess Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certification (433A) or completion of first block of Apprenticeship program.
Three (3) years of demonstrated ability as a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
Effective written and verbal communication ability.
Excellent troubleshooting.
Demonstrate problem solving skills and continuous learning mind set.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Equipment Operator's Certificate to operate power equipment, or the ability to obtain certification.

Nice To Haves

Several years’ maintenance experience servicing and maintaining processing and packaging line equipment in a production food environment is preferred.
Ability to weld would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Maintain the egg-grading machine to ensure it is in good, safe working order for continuous production.
React promptly to problems with the machine and resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
Manage the preventative maintenance program designed to keep downtime to a minimum and ensure adequate supply of spare parts to replace broken or worn-out machine parts.
Monitor the egg grading machine, visually inspecting components while running and troubleshooting any problems that are detected.
Any Maintenance conditions that could compromise food safety are to be documented and given to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Communicate with Machine Operators / Supervisors / Management persons any production maintenance concerns which may affect production.
Operate and use equipment safely ensuring recommended personal protective equipment is in good condition.
Comply with all company policies.
