About The Position

The Maintenance Technology Intern works directly with the organization’s Maintenance Division and receives supervision and guidance from the Technical Training and Shop Maintenance Departments. Assigned projects are intended to improve the organization’s digital platform, address operational difficulties, and develop skills learned in school. The role is a summer position in Midland, Texas, requiring onsite work, full-time availability for 40 hours per week from late May through early August, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a BS/MS program in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another closely related field.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer, from late May through early August.
• Be able to work onsite in Midland, Texas.
• Be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Have experience with 3D modeling software.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Have attention to detail and be well organized.
• Be self-motivated, independent, and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, test, and document assigned projects.
• Use appropriate measurement instruments to record equipment dimensions.
• Use 3D software, such as Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, to create accurate visuals of measured equipment.
• Integrate 3D models into the organization’s digital environment.
• Assist the Technical Training Team with content development.
• Present the results of the assigned project at the end of the program.
• Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies by attending required training sessions and safety meetings and using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
