About The Position
The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs at the Kansas City Homewood Suites. The role includes responding to guest and associate work orders; troubleshooting minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues; maintaining pool systems; repairing hotel furniture, fixtures, and equipment; and carrying out seasonal groundskeeping duties. The technician also operates and maintains hand tools and power equipment.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of general maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to bend, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Hotel maintenance experience.
- HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including guest room care.
- Complete and document guest and associate work orders.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Maintain, clean, and adjust pool systems and chemicals.
- Repair furniture, fixtures, and hotel equipment, including laundry, kitchen, and small appliances.
- Perform seasonal landscaping, groundskeeping, and trash removal duties.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment.
