About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Kansas City Homewood Suites performs preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel. The role includes guest room care, completing and documenting guest and associate work orders, troubleshooting minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, and maintaining pool systems and chemicals. The technician also repairs furniture, fixtures, and hotel equipment, including laundry, kitchen, and small appliances; performs seasonal landscaping, groundskeeping, and trash removal; and operates and maintains hand tools and power equipment.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of general maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to bend, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Hotel maintenance experience.
• HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including guest room care.
• Complete and document guest and associate work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain, clean, and adjust pool systems and chemicals.
