Maintenance Technician - Mid Shift (12pm - 8:30pm)

About The Position

Belmont Behavioral Health System is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform routine and specific maintenance services, which may include grounds work. The role involves maintaining and repairing the facility and its equipment, supporting emergency response, and completing preventive maintenance and inspection activities. The position is scheduled for the mid shift, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in maintenance or facility operations.
Knowledge of standard practices, procedures, and tools in general building and maintenance trades is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs to facility and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical equipment repair or similar work.
Serve as a backup for the emergency call person and respond promptly and appropriately.
Handle equipment safely to prevent accidents and use tools safely.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Follow preventive maintenance schedules and instructions, and complete reports as requested.
Inspect and maintain emergency power equipment; test and start the generator weekly and maintain related equipment.
Inspect and maintain the fire alarm system, including testing fire doors, audible and visible alarms, and smoke detectors; record data on required forms.
Check the condition and readiness of fire extinguishers monthly.
Inspect and maintain the facility lighting system.
Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, repairing or replacing faucets, toilets, urinals, traps, drains, basins, and bathtubs as needed.
Repair or refinish furniture in rooms, offices, and the dining room as needed.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
