The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for understanding and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, basic plumbing, and mechanical systems. This role involves machinery repair, preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, and reoccurrence prevention. The technician will also be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) for writing major breakdown reports, using common hand tools, and understanding the usage of multimeters, amp probes, and megameters for electrical measurements. The position requires the ability to safely and effectively troubleshoot all plant machinery and building systems, complete and follow through with preventative maintenance programs, and establish new PM and kaizen programs as needed. Maintaining spare parts to minimize downtime is also a key responsibility. The technician will follow all safety programs, participate in their improvement through committee participation, training, and becoming a trainer. They will attend company-sponsored training to enhance skills and help improve processes and machinery by understanding breakdowns and implementing solutions to reduce downtime. Ensuring a clean and safe work area through housekeeping/5S procedures, maintaining a positive attitude, fostering teamwork, and checking work for quality are essential. The role also involves enforcing safety regulations, recommending improvements for safety, production, quality control, and cost reduction, analyzing and resolving work problems, and maintaining time and production records. Other related duties may be assigned.
