About The Position

The Material Handler supports truss production by ensuring all assembly tables receive the correct truss plates and related materials in a timely, organized, and safe manner. This role is essential to maintaining efficient workflow, minimizing downtime, and supporting the assembly team in meeting daily production goals.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify plate types and sizes accurately
• Ability to work in fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to lift, carry and move materials throughout the shift
• Basic understanding of truss components and production flow

Responsibilities

• Supply truss plates: Retrieve, sort, and deliver the correct truss plates to designated assembly tables based on production schedules and build sheets.
• Material Organization: Maintain an orderly plate inventory area, ensuring plates are stocked, labeled, and easily accessible.
• Workflow Support: Monitor assembly table needs throughout the shift and proactively restock materials to prevent production delays.
• Quality Handling: Inspect plates for defects, damage, or incorrect sizing before distribution.
• Communication: Coordinate with table leads, saw operators, and supervisors to stay updated on upcoming builds and material requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all plant safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
• Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean, free of debris, and compliant with safety standards.
