About The Position

Related Management Company (RMC) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and functionality of their affordable housing properties. The Maintenance Technician will perform essential work to keep properties in great shape, complete service requests promptly, interact with residents, and ensure property systems are in good working order. The position involves preparing vacant units to occupancy standards, inspecting mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues, conducting routine preventative maintenance, and assisting with site inspections. Maintaining workplace safety, including current COVID-19 standards, and participating in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs are also key aspects of the role. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of maintenance/facilities experience.
  • Able to work our emergency on-call rotation as needed.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform essential work to keep properties in great shape.
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, interact with residents, and keep property systems in good working order.
  • Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within the established time frame.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds; immediately address safety issues with management.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to prepare the site for inspections.
  • Maintain workplace safety policies and standards, including current COVID-19 standards.
  • Rotating on-call responsibility for emergency maintenance repairs.
