Maintenance Technician (6pm - 6am)

MOCOM Compounds CorporationDuncan, SC
Onsite

About The Position

MOCOM is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our production floor running at its best. This is a hands-on, high-impact role — you'll own preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and drive continuous improvement across our equipment and systems. If you're self-motivated, mechanically sharp, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment, this is a role where you can make a real difference every shift. We operate to ISO and IATF standards, and we take both safety and quality seriously.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
  • Basic electrical knowledge — comfortable working on industrial equipment and controls.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints and schematics.
  • Some PLC experience — troubleshooting, basic program review, or interfacing with automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts — you analyze the problem and find a solution rather than waiting to be told.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and any assigned shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electromechanical technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in an automotive, polymer, or specialty chemicals manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or similar quality management system requirements.
  • Welding, hydraulics, or pneumatics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventive maintenance work orders on production floor equipment — on time and to standard.
  • Perform shift mechanic functions including mechanical repairs, adjustments, and equipment inspections.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues with minimal downtime.
  • Execute non-routine maintenance projects as directed by management.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints, schematics, and PLC-related documentation.
  • Actively identify and support continuous process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all plant safety rules and EHS guidelines.

Benefits

  • A stable, growing manufacturer where your maintenance skills directly impact production quality and uptime.
  • Work within a structured, ISO-certified environment with clear standards and expectations.
  • A company that puts safety first and invests in the tools and processes to back it up.
  • Visibility to engineering and operations leadership — your initiative gets noticed.
