About The Position

The Maintenance Technician (Preventative) is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to support optimal performance, extend asset life, and prevent costly breakdowns. The role also helps ensure product safety and quality, follows established safety standards and procedures, and maintains a clean and safe work environment. The position is on-site in Seymour, Indiana.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues.
Ability to follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow written safety procedures and established safety rules.

Responsibilities

Ensure product safety and quality as applicable to assigned duties.
Evaluate work conditions and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to support optimal performance, extend asset life, and prevent costly breakdowns.
Know and apply written safety procedures; inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts.
Complete projects and assignments safely and efficiently.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team.
Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
