About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance, extend asset life, and prevent costly breakdowns. The role includes supporting product safety and quality, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and completing assignments safely and efficiently. The technician follows written safety procedures and schedules, communicates effectively, and works independently or as part of a team. The position is on-site in Seymour, Indiana.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues.
Ability to follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to use verbal and written communications effectively.
Ability to know and apply written safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
Support product safety and quality while carrying out assigned duties.
Evaluate work conditions and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
Know and apply written safety procedures; inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts.
Complete projects and assignments safely and efficiently.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team.
Diagnose equipment issues.
Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
