About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of a high-rise property meet company standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. The property is stabilized and has 435 units. The schedule is Monday through Friday with a rotating on-call schedule. The position handles resident service requests and preventive maintenance, diagnoses defects and completes repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements. It also prepares vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins, manages maintenance materials and inventory, completes service documentation, and helps maintain grounds and shared spaces. The technician supports cost control by repairing parts when practical and using supplies, tools, and equipment appropriately. The role includes following safety and risk-management procedures, participating in safety meetings and required training, reporting incidents, and sometimes inspecting contractor work and conducting property inspections. The technician may travel to other properties or attend training and business meetings as needed. The work requires a flexible schedule that includes on-call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
