About The Position

Fairmount Homes is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their forward-thinking team. This role is responsible for keeping the buildings, grounds, and community safe, functional, and welcoming on a beautiful 70+ acre campus in rural Ephrata, PA. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a typical schedule of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, but includes occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities. Requirements

At least one (1) year of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair work, or a related field
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems
Ability to problem-solve and work independently while supporting a team
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Valid driver’s license
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine desire to serve others

Responsibilities

Maintain the buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and well-kept environment
Identify and address maintenance, safety, and repair needs across campus
Assist with repairs, installations, and general upkeep (including plumbing, electrical, and building systems)
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency calls as needed
Support preventative maintenance efforts and maintain accurate records
Assist with seasonal work, snow removal, grounds upkeep, and sanitation responsibilities
Help ensure water systems, equipment, and utilities are operating properly
