FL Maintenance Technician - Delray Bay
About The Position
Olen Living is seeking a skilled, motivated full-time Maintenance Technician for its multifamily apartment community, Delray Bay, in Delray Beach, Florida. The role supports resident satisfaction by maintaining a comfortable living environment and delivering quality workmanship and customer service. The technician handles building and apartment maintenance, unit turnovers, work orders, and HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and air-conditioning repairs. The position also includes preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, service request completion, and other community maintenance tasks. The technician must be able to respond to emergency calls outside scheduled work hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of related maintenance experience and/or training.
- Strong customer service skills and a desire to help people.
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally move or maneuver up to 100 pounds.
- Reliable transportation to and from work and a valid driver’s license.
- Must provide and use personal hand tools unless otherwise specified by the property.
- Effective problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Good attention to detail and a team-player attitude.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, or replace apartment plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and air-conditioning equipment.
- Help prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and complete apartment turnovers.
- Perform community and building maintenance, including preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, and other assigned tasks.
- Complete service requests and work orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
- Respond to emergency calls after scheduled work hours, on weekends, and on holidays when needed.
