About The Position

The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and performs preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in the company facility. The role may require working with little to no supervision and reports to the Reliability Manager. The technician performs protective, predictive, and corrective maintenance and daily checks. Equipment and systems include pumps, agitators, heat exchangers, tanks, reactors, piping systems, valves, PLCs, nitrogen systems, steam systems, and other mechanical and electrical systems. The role also includes monitoring and documenting facility equipment, safety systems, and power systems; completing and organizing maintenance work orders; and communicating open work orders and shift handoffs. Safety is the highest consideration in maintenance and other activities. The technician coordinates with outside contractors and vendors as needed.

Requirements

At least 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a food industry facility with mechanical skills.
Minimum of a high school diploma, trade school diploma, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform protective, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, daily tasks, and checklists.
Maintain, install, and troubleshoot process equipment and mechanical and electrical systems.
Monitor and document observations for facility equipment, including plant safety systems and plant power systems.
Complete maintenance work orders daily and help file and organize them.
Communicate open work orders to the Reliability Manager and transfer them to the following shift with details about the work to be completed.
Give safety the highest consideration during maintenance and other activities.
Coordinate and work with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
Work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
