About The Position

The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and performs preventive maintenance on industrial equipment within the company facility, property, and equipment. The role may involve working with little to no supervision in a demanding, fast-paced environment and reports to the Reliability Manager. The position maintains and troubleshoots process equipment and systems, documents equipment observations, completes and organizes maintenance work orders, and coordinates open work with the Reliability Manager and the next shift. Safety is the highest consideration in maintenance and other activities. The technician also coordinates with outside contractors and vendors as needed.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma, trade school diploma, or equivalent.
At least 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a food industry facility.
Mechanical skills.

Technical education and diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform protective, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, daily tasks, and checklists.
Maintain, install, and troubleshoot process equipment systems, including pumps, agitators, heat exchangers, tanks, reactors, piping systems, valves, PLCs, nitrogen systems, steam systems, and other mechanical and electrical systems.
Monitor and document observations for facility equipment, including plant safety systems and plant power systems.
Complete maintenance work orders daily and help file and organize them.
Communicate open work orders to the Reliability Manager and hand them over to the following shift with details about the work to be completed.
Prioritize safety in maintenance and other activities.
Coordinate and work with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
