About The Position

The Maintenance Technician works at the Jackson, Tennessee site on the third shift, Monday through Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. The starting pay is $31.93 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential. The role maintains production equipment, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical problems, supports capital projects and equipment improvements, and helps keep operations productive and safe. The technician also documents maintenance work, maintains an orderly work area, and follows the site’s environmental policy.

Requirements

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, or another maintenance-related diploma, degree, or certificate.
Five years of equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as necessary.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems throughout the operation to minimize downtime.
Assist with implementation of capital projects.
Help improve plant equipment to maximize productivity.
Train others on acquired equipment knowledge.
Assist with major repairs and rebuilds using appropriate skills.
Maintain equipment at the best operating level.
Take necessary precautions to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to 5S principles.
Work in a team environment.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, including preventive maintenance forms and time logs.
Understand and follow the Jackson site’s environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with work activities.
