About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will work at the Jackson, Tennessee site on the third shift, Monday through Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Starting pay is $31.93 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential. The role maintains and repairs plant equipment to minimize downtime and support safe, productive operations. It also contributes to capital projects, equipment improvements, team training, and environmental and workplace organization practices.

Requirements

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, or another maintenance-related diploma, degree, or certificate.
Five years of equivalent experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems throughout the operation to minimize downtime.
Assist with implementing capital projects.
Improve plant equipment to maximize productivity.
Train others on acquired knowledge of equipment.
Assist with major repairs and rebuilds using appropriate skills.
Maintain equipment at the best operating level.
Take necessary precautions to ensure personal and others’ safety.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to 5S principles.
Work in a team environment.
Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation, including preventive maintenance forms and time logs.
Understand and follow the Jackson site’s environmental policy and the environmental impacts associated with work activities.
