About The Position

LSS is seeking a reliable, self-starting maintenance professional to help keep its facilities safe and functional. The position maintains facilities, grounds, and parking areas according to generally approved safety and maintenance standards. Duties include preventative maintenance, upkeep, janitorial work, and repairs, as well as responding to emergency calls. The role travels among LSS locations within Sioux Falls and may involve working in adverse weather conditions. Full-time and part-time positions are available at the Administration Office, with in-town travel. Salary depends on experience and qualifications. Applicants will be asked to complete a prescreen questionnaire as part of the hiring process and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Some building maintenance experience.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot, repair, or locate sources to complete equipment repairs.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Self-starter with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily work.
Successfully complete all agency background checks.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency auto insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintain facilities according to generally approved safety and maintenance standards.
Maintain grounds and parking areas according to generally approved safety and maintenance standards.
Perform preventative maintenance, upkeep, janitorial duties, and repairs as needed.
Respond to emergency calls.
Travel among LSS locations within Sioux Falls.
