About The Position
Mastronardi Produce is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Laredo Distribution Center, a 187,000-square-foot refrigerated facility that operates 24/7. The role is responsible for general facility maintenance and sanitation functions and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The work consists approximately 70% of cleaning and maintenance and 30% of machine adjustments and preparation in production.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a maintenance technician.
- Good working knowledge of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
- Team player with a positive work attitude.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Participate in preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance at the facility.
- Ensure equipment, tools, and spare parts are available and secured when not in use.
- Follow the tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
- Perform housekeeping tasks, including power-washing, to help ensure the facility follows safe and healthy guidelines.
