About The Position

Northwood Ravin is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Village at Commonwealth, an apartment community in Charlotte, North Carolina. The technician manages service requests and maintenance operations across multiple systems, with an emphasis on efficient troubleshooting, quality repairs, and minimizing repeat issues. The role includes diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance problems; completing service requests; performing preventative maintenance; supporting apartment turns; and identifying issues through inspections and proactive maintenance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation and weekend work. The position calls for someone who works independently, takes accountability for repairs, communicates clearly, and contributes to a collaborative team focused on maintaining a reliable community and resident satisfaction.

Requirements

A solid foundation in multifamily maintenance or a related trade.
Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and execute work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of work.
Clear communication, dependability, collaboration, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Manage service requests and maintenance operations across multiple systems.
