About The Position

Weinstein Properties is seeking an EPA-certified Maintenance Technician for a well-maintained residential community in South Austin, Texas. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering competitive pay, benefits, supportive leadership, and opportunities for advancement. The role involves completing work orders in occupied and vacant apartments, assisting with apartment turns and make-readies, troubleshooting and repairing building systems and appliances, and maintaining the community’s grounds, amenities, and pool areas. The technician works collaboratively with the maintenance team and participates in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Pay starts at $23 per hour, depending on experience. On-call pay is $150 per week, whether or not calls occur, plus $150 for each holiday on-call assignment. Quarterly bonuses of up to $980 are available based on property and team performance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification, Type II or Universal.
• Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in work.
• Ability to work independently and be a reliable team player.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfort using computers and mobile devices, including Outlook and work order systems.
• Ability to drive a golf cart.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors and outdoors year-round.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-readies.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry issues.
• Help maintain the community’s appearance, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.
