About The Position

This role involves installing complex systems, conducting equipment inspections, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment for emergency repairs, and performing preventive maintenance routines. The technician will analyze and find effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries by following procedures and precedents. They will also conduct complex analyses, quality tests, and inspections requiring independent judgment. A key aspect of the role is developing a working knowledge of the organization's policies, procedures, regulatory codes, and codes of conduct, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure work meets required standards. The technician will follow mandatory procedures and methods of work, including the use of personal protective equipment, to safeguard the environment and the well-being of themselves and others. Additionally, the role requires organizing one's own work schedule daily in line with changing priorities and developing/maintaining excellent process or technical skills through assessment, development planning, and training. The technician will also support others by implementing improvements and carrying out simple change management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
  • Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities.
  • Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
