About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing complex systems, conducting equipment inspections, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment for emergency repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance routines. This role involves analyzing solutions, conducting quality tests and inspections with independent judgment, and developing a working knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory codes. The technician must adhere to mandatory procedures to ensure work meets required standards, follow health, safety, and environmental protocols, and organize their daily work schedule in line with changing priorities. Additionally, the role requires building personal capability through assessment, development planning, and training, as well as supporting others by implementing improvements and carrying out simple change management tasks.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines.
  • Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional enquiries, following procedures and precedents.
  • Conduct complex analyses, quality tests, and inspections that require a high level of independent judgment.
  • Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
  • Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities.
  • Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Support others by implementing improvements and carrying out simple change management tasks.
