About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical: Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical: Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical: Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical: DC Circuits – relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical: AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made
  • Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
  • Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
  • Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
  • Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
  • Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
  • Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
