About The Position

The Maintenance Technician (Preventative) performs preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to support optimal performance, extend asset life, and prevent costly breakdowns. The role also contributes to product safety and quality, maintains a safe and clean work environment, and completes assigned projects and other job-related duties safely and efficiently. Work may be performed independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues.
• Ability to follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform assigned duties proficiently and in accordance with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product safety and quality in the performance of assigned duties.
• Evaluate work conditions and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to maintain performance, extend asset life, and prevent breakdowns.
• Know and apply written safety procedures; inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts.
• Complete projects and assignments safely and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow schedules and work independently or as part of a team.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
• Follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor.
