About The Position

This position requires a skilled individual to maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment, with a focus on mechanical and electrical tasks. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairing equipment, and understanding safety protocols. Requirements

Working knowledge and ability to perform skilled work as a mechanic or electrician
Competence and knowledge of safety rules and practices
Good communication skills with various levels within the organization
Basic knowledge to read and understand blueprints and procedures
3 years’ experience in maintenance production machinery
Basic knowledge of extrusion, vacuum systems, material transfer, air systems, preventative maintenance, safety equipment, fork trucks, & plumbing

Nice To Haves

Degree in Industrial technology
Semi-skilled in work as machinist, electrician, HVAC technician

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot process/plant equipment
Perform preventive/routine maintenance on compressors, fork trucks, oilers, and filters
Repair and troubleshoot 3 phase 480v systems
Repair and troubleshoot process controls – PLC & instrumentation controls
Accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
Read and understand blueprints
Perform complete start-up of production runs
Perform tooling and shear maintenance
Setup drum and shear tools during changeovers
Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment
Drum stand removal & installation
Drum wheel, extrusion die and lip change
Perform semi-skilled welding, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
Operate powered industrial trucks and lifts
Perform other designated duties of the quality system as assigned
