About The Position

Mercy Housing is hiring a Maintenance Technician to complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers at Kimball Tower, a 152-unit property providing homes to seniors in the Los Angeles area. The technician is part of the maintenance team and helps ensure a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment. This is an on-site position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of basic building maintenance acquired through training or experience.
Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle, with a valid driver's license and insurance.
Ability to take direction from a supervisor.
Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and follow instructions.
Flexibility to change work plans.
Maintain a professional personal appearance.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of skilled maintenance work.
Technical training in one or more building trades.

Responsibilities

Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner and clean up after work is complete.
Perform property repairs, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical work.
Clean apartments during the turnover process as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
