About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II ensures the functionality and reliability of production and facility equipment at Dexter Magnetic Technologies. The technician performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs while following safety standards and supporting operational excellence. By proactively addressing equipment needs and troubleshooting issues, the role helps minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 2 years of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of facility and operations equipment.
Carry out assigned preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment to mitigate risk and reduce downtime.
Change coolant, oils, and other fluids according to the CMMS schedule and manufacturer recommendations, using maintenance manuals and drawings.
Diagnose, repair, and replace worn parts during assigned work.
Follow all safety standards and policies while completing assigned duties.
Ensure facility areas and workstations are free of hazardous materials and objects that could cause injuries.
Assist Maintenance Technicians or external contractors with repairs when requested.
Assist with new equipment installation and qualification.
Maintain and report accurate work activity records in the CMMS system.
Provide detailed, accurate reports of work activities and progress to the Facilities Manager, including requests for parts or supplies needed to complete tasks.
