Maintenance Technician ll - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Maintenance Technician II ensures the functionality and reliability of production and facility equipment at Dexter Magnetic Technologies. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs, while following safety standards and supporting operational excellence. By proactively addressing equipment needs and troubleshooting issues, the technician helps minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The technician maintains accurate work records in the CMMS and provides detailed progress reports to the Facilities Manager, including requests for parts and supplies needed to complete assigned work.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 2 years of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of facility and operations equipment.
- Carry out assigned preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment to mitigate risk and reduce downtime.
- Change coolant, oils, and other fluids according to the CMMS schedule and manufacturer recommendations, using maintenance manuals and drawings.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace worn parts during assigned work.
- Follow all safety standards and policies while performing duties.
- Ensure facility areas and workstations are free of hazardous materials and objects that could cause injuries.
- Assist a Maintenance Technician or external contractors with repairs when requested.
- Assist with new equipment installation and the qualification process.
- Maintain and report accurate records of work activities in the CMMS.
- Provide detailed and accurate work activity and progress reports to the Facilities Manager, including requests for parts or supplies.
