Maintenance Technician in Gainesville, FL
About The Position
The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet established company standards. This is an on-site role based at one of the company’s community offices in Gainesville, Florida. The technician troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and develops solutions with a customer-service attitude. Work may include repairs involving HVAC (if certified), electrical, plumbing, pools, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. The full-time position includes emergency on-call responsibilities, and overtime during the Summer/Fall turn season.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician is preferred.
- Working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented approach to completing work orders.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and emergency on-call rotation.
- Proven record of excellent customer service.
- Must have basic tools and be able to pass a basic maintenance test.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid in-state driver’s license.

- Universal EPA certification.

Responsibilities
