Maintenance Technician - Make Ready
About The Position
Weinstein Properties is hiring a Maintenance Technician – Make Ready for Bexley Summerhill in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a full-time, long-term position at a well-maintained community. The role focuses on preparing vacant apartments for new residents, assisting with maintenance work orders, and helping maintain the property’s grounds, amenities, and pool areas. The technician works collaboratively with the maintenance team and participates in a rotating emergency on-call schedule. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Starting pay is $20 per hour, or $21 per hour for employees who are EPA certified or become certified. The posting also offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, on-call pay, and a quarterly performance-based bonus. Sign-on bonus details will be discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
- Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.
- Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks.
- Reliable transportation.
- Comfort using computers and mobile devices, including Outlook and work order systems.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work indoors and outdoors year-round, and climb stairs and ladders.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Background check required.
Nice To Haves
- EPA certification (Type II or Universal).
- Hands-on HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete the turn and make-ready process for vacant apartments.
- Assist the team with maintenance work orders as needed.
- Work with the team to maintain property grounds daily.
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.
- Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule.
