Maintenance Technician - Nexus
About The Position
Greystar is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for Nexus at Orenco Station, a 422-unit garden-style residential community in Hillsboro, Oregon. The technician supports the community’s operations by completing resident service requests and repairs, preparing apartments for move-ins, maintaining shared exterior areas, and performing routine equipment maintenance and inspections. The role also assists with vendor management and emphasizes responsive customer service and teamwork. The position offers an hourly range of $21.00–$25.00, along with potential onsite bonus incentives, a cell phone allowance, and housing discounts at Greystar communities. Requirements
- Previous experience with painting, entry-level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing.
- Knowledge of the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Professional manner and dress.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service as part of a team.
- Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner, including appliance repairs.
- Prepare apartments for new residents through the make-ready process.
- Maintain the cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas.
- Assist with vendor management and other duties.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
