YOU T h e pr i m ary fu nction o f t h e Mai n te n a n ce Technician is to s u p p ort P ro d u c t i o n Operatio n s by m ai n tai n i n g a n d repairi n g all a s pec t s of p l ant e q u i p m e n t . T h i s ro l e s u ppor t s p l a n t i nf ra st r u c t u re s u c h as a i r c omp r e s s or s , stamping presses, production support equipment , e tc. The position is 2nd shift hours; Monday – Thursday (4:00PM – 2:30AM). You will receive a $2.00 shift differential for every hour worked.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • 3 years’ related maintenance technician experience and/or training.
  • Mechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and read/interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Electrical Skills: Able to size electrical circuits (wire, disconnects, conduit, etc.) and perform new installations.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Accountability/Dependability: Ability to show up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules.
  • Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, troubleshoot, start-up, and provide technical maintenance on all existing and new plant/facility equipment.
  • Integrate existing and new equipment, as needed.
  • Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot machines and equipment.
  • Communicate technical issues to maintenance, facilities and operations management.
  • Perform maintenance needs of the plant as needed
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of work orders (WOs) and preventative maintenance (PMs) to technicians
  • Training and mentoring technicians.
  • Educate fellow peers on any additional skills to improve the department and best practice sharing.
