About The Position

Bozzuto is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain its residential community and provide residents with excellent service. The role includes resolving service tickets and performing preventative maintenance, repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues, and preparing vacant apartments for move-in. The technician also helps preserve the building and community through general upkeep, cleanliness, snow removal, and grounds maintenance. The position includes weekend or evening work and participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.

After 12 months of employment, the technician is eligible to earn an EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification, fully paid by Bozzuto. The position is eligible for additional bonus opportunities and includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus. The stated salary range is $46,350–$49,000 USD.

Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance or education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Availability for property emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Personal, reliable transportation to commute to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A sharp professional appearance.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using software, apps, and computer programs.
• A service mentality and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Resolve resident service tickets and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintain building appearance, community safety, cleanliness, and grounds, including snow removal.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
