About The Position

Perform repairs and maintenance on air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical, and other related systems and equipment. Respond to emergency situations, including fires, power outages, gas or water leaks, and other emergencies or repairs. Duties also include installing electrical conduit and wiring; servicing and repairing air handler units and cooling towers; installing and repairing plumbing; repairing or installing parking lot lighting ballasts; welding, fabricating, and installing materials; replacing and installing high-voltage shunt and motor-control gear; clearing drains; repairing or installing equipment such as televisions, ceilings, lighting, fixtures, and kitchen equipment; and maintaining and repairing air conditioners, including removing or repairing compressor units.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
• Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

• Prior related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on air conditioning, furnace, plumbing, electrical, and other related systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations, including fires, power outages, gas leaks, water leaks, and other emergencies or repairs.
• Install electrical conduit and wiring throughout the complex.
• Service and repair air handler units.
• Install and repair plumbing.
• Repair or install parking lot lighting ballasts.
• Weld, fabricate, and install materials.
• Replace and install high-voltage shunt and motor-control gear.
• Service and repair cooling towers.
• Clear drains using an electric rotary-action snake or another appropriate method.
• Repair or install new or damaged equipment, including televisions, ceilings damaged by water leaks, lighting, fixtures, and kitchen equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on air conditioners, including removing or repairing compressor units.
