About The Position

Paseo Pointe is a temporary Maintenance Technician position at an affordable housing community of 69 units in Vista, California. The technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartment complex and areas related to the community’s day-to-day maintenance operations. Solari Enterprises, Inc. is a full-service property management company specializing in multifamily affordable housing and operating communities throughout California since 1993.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
Experience in areas including electrical work, drywall, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Valid California driver’s license.
Proof of auto insurance.
Reliable transportation.
Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills when speaking with residents and vendors.
Computer skills for viewing and completing work orders.

Nice To Haves

Specialized certifications, such as HVAC, are desirable.

Responsibilities

Paint.
Clean carpets, windows, and appliances.
Service appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures.
Repair or replace old and faulty parts.
Check locks and replace burned-out light bulbs.
Conduct regular inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment.
Know the locations of power, water, and gas shutoffs; clean out traps; know the locations of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants; and post maps of these items.
Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Perform janitorial duties.
Report needed repairs to the site manager.
Assist with other types of maintenance when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Conduct corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance in units and on the property.
