About The Position

Greenbrier Management Company is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician for a growing property management organization. The technician is responsible for general maintenance of the apartment community, including repairs, troubleshooting, apartment turnover, and preventative maintenance. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires a team-oriented, service-focused professional who is accountable for achieving results. Candidates must pass a credit screening, criminal background check, and drug test.

Requirements

At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience, including basic electrical and plumbing diagnostics and repairs.
Be a team player who contributes to an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Have a positive attitude and effective communication skills.
Enjoy helping people.
Have basic tools for the trade.
Provide a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Be flexible enough to occasionally respond to off-hour emergencies and resident concerns.
Pass a credit screening, criminal background check, and drug test.

Nice To Haves

HVAC certification, preferably CFC Universal.

Responsibilities

Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance functions are performed properly and promptly.
Follow up effectively and promptly with residents, vendors, and the property management team on maintenance services provided.
Respond promptly to all on-call emergencies.
Complete and follow up on all open, unresolved maintenance tickets.
Safely use general maintenance equipment, including hand tools, ladders, landscaping equipment, and required safety equipment.
Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features daily to identify maintenance needs, minimize liability concerns, and maintain curb appeal.
Participate in company training classes and meetings.
Follow company policies, including those relating to fair housing, OSHA, pool standards, and safety standards.
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
