About The Position

Woodhill is seeking a full-time, service-minded Maintenance Technician to upgrade and preserve the condition and functionality of its 154-unit residential apartment community in Newark, New York. The role reports to the Property Manager and Lead Maintenance. Compensation is $24.00 per hour, subject to adjustment for onsite living. Employees who live onsite receive a 50% rent discount.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• General knowledge of maintenance duties.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for occupancy, including make-ready work and general work orders.
• Perform general maintenance involving electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Complete manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
• Carry out general upkeep, including landscaping, painting, carpentry, and pool maintenance.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned by the Property Manager.
