About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs tasks involving the facility’s physical plant, equipment, and grounds. Duties include a variety of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and environmental services assignments. The position is part-time, with flexible day shifts from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, three to four days per week. The Recovery Center at Woodburn is a 15-bed sub-acute locked forensic facility serving adult males aged 18 and older who are diagnosed with a serious mental illness.

Requirements

Two years of experience as a building maintenance technician, handy person, boiler worker, or in a related position.
High school graduation or a GED.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certifications on the date of employment or within 60 days of employment, and maintain current certifications throughout employment.
Valid and current driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance listing the employee as a driver.
Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.
Successful completion of applicable post-offer physical examination, two-step PPD tuberculosis test, criminal background clearances, excluded-party sanctions, and degree or license verification.
If driving is required, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance are required at employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
