About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repair work within an apartment community. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and appliance work, and maintenance of machinery. The technician is expected to provide exceptional customer service, work effectively with a team, and handle other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in commercial property or multi-unit residential property.
High school diploma or GED; 3–4 years of experience can offset the minimum educational requirements.
Self-motivation, teamwork, communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
Computer and smartphone literacy.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally and in writing, for work-related responsibilities.
A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the needs of the property.
May be required to work Saturday and Sunday.

HVAC certification, depending on the property.
Electrical certification.
Plumbing certification.
Multilingual skills.

Responsibilities

Repair, clean, and replace HVAC equipment and components.
Repair and replace plumbing parts and install sinks, toilets, faucets, and related fixtures.
Repair and install doors, shelves, countertops, locks, and other carpentry items.
Repair drywall and plaster and perform painting.
Maintain and repair lighting, wiring, power circuits, switches, lamps, and appliances.
Repair and maintain machinery such as chillers, belts, pumps, and fans.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
