About The Position

Morgan Properties is offering a full-time, paid training program called the Fix It Forward Program to train individuals to become Maintenance Technicians. No prior apartment maintenance experience is required. This program is ideal for dependable individuals who are ready to learn and enjoy hands-on work. The training program lasts 3 to 6 months and progresses through three levels: Beginner (safety, tools, basic tasks), Intermediate (more repairs, less supervision), and Advanced (complex work, ready for a permanent role). Participants will learn HVAC basics, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, apartment turns, groundskeeping, preventative maintenance, customer service, and safety procedures. The role offers raises as you progress through training and a career path to a permanent Maintenance Technician role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training to learn apartment maintenance skills.
• Progress through Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced training levels.
• Learn and perform tasks related to safety, tools, basic repairs, complex repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, apartment turns, groundskeeping, and preventative maintenance.
• Provide customer service.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Travel to nearby sister properties for training.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Be available for on-call duties when required.
