About The Position

This position involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients. Key responsibilities include taking medical histories, updating patient charts, ordering and reviewing tests, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on health and well-being. The role requires strong communication skills, experience with patient-centered and trauma-informed care, and cultural competency, particularly with LGBTQIA+ individuals and underserved populations. Familiarity with patients with substance use disorders and navigating medical systems is essential. The physician will also utilize basic computer skills, including Electronic Medical Records, and demonstrate compassion, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Maintaining professionalism, multitasking, and adhering to HIPAA regulations are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Take patient’s medical history.
  • Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments.
  • Order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform.
  • Review test results to identify any abnormal findings.
  • Recommend and design a plan of treatment.
  • Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being.
  • Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene.
