About The Position

We are seeking a Physician to provide professional healthcare services. This role involves managing patient encounters, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, and overseeing the daily operations of the clinic. The Physician will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as submitting reports and complying with institutional policies.

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Must hold a current, unrestricted license.
  • Must be eligible for board certification in their chosen field of expertise that permits him/her to practice and to perform services in any state.
  • Must have obtained a graduate degree from an American Medical Association approved University, with a degree in Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess a current and valid medical license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving patients and explaining procedures to alleviate undue anxiety.
  • Submitting reports and evaluations as requested.
  • Following directives and complying with Bureau of Prisons Health Services Manual, local institutional mandates, and the Health Services Department’s policies in the management of all patient encounters.
  • Providing professional health care services.
  • Performing complete physical examinations.
  • Collecting comprehensive medical and social history to include a review of all body systems.
  • Performing physical assessment in correlation with historical findings, records preliminary objective findings.
  • Examining and ordering appropriate diagnostic testing and providing necessary treatment and/or medications as required.
  • Referring selected cases to consultant specialists when necessary.
  • Referring patients requiring hospitalization to a community hospital and to an appropriate physician.
  • Administering or directing administration of both curative and preventive inoculations.
  • Prescribing medications, treatments, and fully utilizing health services for treatment, rehabilitation, and diagnostic modalities.
  • Managing the daily operation of the clinic and conducting daily sick calls, which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations.
  • Making recommendations (only) on matters of policy, procedures, training, personnel, and equipment.
  • Performing medical intake, as needed.
  • Completing Medical Exit Summaries, as needed.
