About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Level #3 performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations for production equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The role responds to equipment breakdowns, completes scheduled maintenance, diagnoses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and collaborates with production teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. The technician follows safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements, maintains accurate maintenance documentation, and contributes to continuous improvement. The position also offers the opportunity to lead a skilled maintenance team while remaining actively involved in hands-on maintenance. The technician works with operations, quality, and leadership teams to improve reliability, reduce downtime, support production, and develop team members. The role is for second shift and may require overtime as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a technical training program, trade school, or craft apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machines and plant facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs during production and complete scheduled and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and work orders; diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments.
Safely use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment; detect and report faulty operations or unusual conditions to supervision.
Comply with safety regulations, maintain clean and orderly work areas, demonstrate computer competency including Microsoft Office, and perform other duties as assigned.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
Support production and sanitation teams with technical guidance and maintenance expertise to resolve recurring issues.
Maintain maintenance records, parts inventory documentation, and work order updates; participate in training and skill development.
Perform calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of laboratory testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
Lead a skilled maintenance team while continuing hands-on maintenance work and supporting team member development.
