Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a plant Maintenance Tech.
Logix and Wonder Ware experience required.
Knowledge of safety practices and ability to follow designated safety procedures.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with peers, co-workers, scientists, researchers, supervisors, customers and vendors as required.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical materials.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers and co-workers.
Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
Identifies unsafe work conditions in the work area. Reports safety hazards to supervisor or safety coordinator.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair all equipment at the plant as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance procedures as needed.
Operate a forklift.
Operate a scissor lift.
Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pumps and piping systems.
Troubleshoot and repair and/or modify electrical wiring and controls circuits.
Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace electrical motors, gearboxes, drive systems, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
Provide technical assistance to Maintenance Technicians and plant as required.
Identify training opportunities and recommend training department wide.
Plan and coordinate Maintenance Training.
Acts as Maintenance lead to Maintenance Technicians.
Represent the Maintenance Department in plant wide shift change and participate in Lead training.
Coordinate maintenance functions in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
