About The Position

Join a fast-growing, family-owned laundromat chain with 10 locations across Miami-Dade and Broward County, and real growth plans ahead. We're looking for a hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to keep our machines running and our stores looking sharp. As the Lead Maintenance Technician, you will serve as the primary technical expert responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of commercial laundry equipment across the South Florida locations. You will lead a small team/helper, troubleshoot issues quickly, and ensure minimal downtime so operations run smoothly and customers stay happy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining commercial or industrial laundry equipment or similar mechanical systems (HVAC, appliances, manufacturing machinery).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and basic welding/fabrication.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience (formal or informal) — ability to guide and train a helper.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (multi-site role).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-service minded.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Speed Queen, Huebsch, or similar commercial laundry brands is a strong plus, though not required — we welcome candidates with strong transferable experience from appliance repair, HVAC, or industrial maintenance.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, appliance repair) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment.
  • Lead and mentor a maintenance helper/handyman; assign tasks and ensure high-quality work.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general building maintenance).
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service calls.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies; coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Support new equipment installation and facility upgrades as the company grows.
  • Troubleshoot coin and card-based payment systems on laundry machines.
  • Travel between South Florida locations as needed (company vehicle & mileage support will be provided).
