About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Intern performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems under supervision and assists maintenance and facility technicians as needed. The role includes cleaning machines and parts, lubricating machine components, changing filters, updating preventive maintenance procedures to reflect best-known methods, and tracking and closing maintenance work in the ERP-IFS system. The intern follows safety requirements, communicates identified risks to leadership, and assists with resolving them. This position is part-time, non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and classified as an internship.

Requirements

• High School Diploma in process.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Attention to detail.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office-based software.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly.
• Ability to bend and twist frequently and stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Clean machines and parts, lubricate machine components, and change filters.
• Update preventive maintenance procedures to reflect best-known methods.
• Track and close preventive maintenance work in the ERP-IFS system.
• Follow safety requirements, communicate identified risks to leadership, and assist in resolving them.
• Meet 5S standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

• Maintain a positive attitude, show enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicate professionally and effectively with team members.
• Perform other related duties.
