About The Position

The Facilities/Maintenance Technician Intern performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems under supervision, and at times assists maintenance and facility technicians. The position is part-time and non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The intern reports to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma in process.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Attention to detail.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office-based software.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly; frequent bending and twisting; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems, including cleaning machines and parts, lubricating machine components, and changing filters.
• Update preventive maintenance procedures to reflect best-known methods.
• Track and close preventive maintenance work in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP-IFS) system.
• Understand and follow safety requirements, communicate identified risks to leadership, and assist with resolving them.
• Complete 5S standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Contribute to the company culture by aligning with company values and code of conduct.
• Maintain a positive attitude, show enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicate effectively and professionally with team members.
• Perform other related duties.
